An Upcoming Adventure!!
I am excited to share about an adventure I have coming up and I’d love for you to be a part! I have been awarded a fellowship with the Mercer University Teacher Ambassador Program. As a part of that program, I will travel to the Dominican Republic this summer to help their teachers learn how to create a sustainable food source system, including aquaponics, and use it to both feed the local population and teach STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) in their schools. The schools I will be working in have internet access, but do not have devices for students to use to add authenticity to their learning. I would like to bring a few tablets along with me, teach them how to use them, and leave them behind when I go.
